Leaving Job Boards

Why is it that when sales people call you from job boards, they do not know your business or your clients business and they just want to sell you a package for job posting or resume searches without really understanding your target audiences required training or minimum requirements? In today’s environment – that does nothing but create a massive stack of resumes for you to review from prospects who do not have the skills you need.  For specialized non-entry level positions you will have likely wasted most of your time and effort and money.  In a recent article in Workforce Management, more and more companies are feeling this frustration and finding success in the social media arena.  We are currently launching a social media recruiting effort for a client that needs mid-career professionals to join an internal trswe know will produce gang buster results.  Tune in for future blogs about how well it worked.

    How do you tailor your message in Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook to a specific audience? Although, these networks can return recruiting leads in mass numbers, in my experience it seems nearly impossible to find the needle in the stack of under-qualified applicants.

    I’m really eager to see how your efforts turn out.
