Mallinckrodt, a 100+ year old provider of bulk pharmaceuticals sold to branded drug manufacturers, made a business decision to launch its own finished products division which would sell Schedule II and III generic narcotic analgesics directly to pharmacies. MediaCross developed Mallinckrodt’s Dosage Products Group’s first-ever marketing strategy, branding campaign and numerous products campaigns. After its first year, the Dosage Products Group ranked very favorably among chain drug store buyers and pharmacists. Sales for newly launched generic product in particular registered $13 million after eight months and over $100 million in 30 months.
